Who is Newbridge Church
Newbridge Church began in March 2014 with a core group of people whose diverse life journeys found a unified calling in seeing God redeem pain and disappointment to bring a new movement of hope to the people of Northern New Jersey. The people you will encounter at Newbridge desire genuine relationships and authentic faith. We don’t pretend to have all the answers and we’re quick to acknowledge that we are an imperfect people, but we are committed to creating a healthy church environment. For us, that starts with pursuing five core values:
Experience Christ - We believe that Jesus is the hope of the world and that salvation through Him brings both hope and healing to even our deepest pains, and brings real significance to our greatest joys.
Live grace – We believe that the Bible teaches that grace isn’t for “bad” people but for all people. The free gift of salvation by grace isn’t something we can graduate from because we still can’t keep our own rules – it is God who changes people. Our glory is in God’s redemption of our souls for freedom and because of this, we want our church to be a place where chains are broken, not formed. We will point to the grace that is ours in Jesus for real, true, and lasting life in Him.
Love well – We will love each other well as we live in the reality that God’s unfailing love for us is the purpose of our faith and hope. We want His unconditional love to mark our lives, so we must commit to the hard work of relationships that reflect the love He instructed us to have for each other in 1 Corinthians 13.
Serve Extravagantly – We believe that we are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus so that others can see Him. Therefore, we will love like Christ by confronting injustice, breaking through social and cultural barriers, serving sacrificially, and pouring ourselves out into others in every way just as Jesus has done for us.
Together - We believe that for the Gospel to deeply transform people, we must go against the efficiency-driven mindset of our culture and build relationships one person at a time, investing time, energy, personal capital, and resources to see this happen.
